Every Cloud Has a Silver Lining

Each artwork was constructed from UHT cartons which were collected from the community then cleaned, cut into shapes (reversed to reveal a shiny interior) and stapled onto a wooden cloud shaped backing. The resultant cloud formations were reflective of their environment whilst offering a glimpse into the sublime.

“These silver clouds are my attempt to encourage a viewer to quietly consider the heaviness and the feeling of an immersion in what is perhaps spiritual or usually above. Made from the lining of UHT cartons, they bring discarded, unnoticed things to a place of loftiness or grandeur, a kind of sublimation that happens through art every day.”
